Alternative Education and Diversion Provision
At The Appleton Project, we create the space, environment and opportunities for girls aged 11–16 to build the self-esteem, confidence and self-awareness they need to thrive.
Our nurturing, trauma-informed approach is rooted in relationships, respect and empowerment. Set in the Oxfordshire countryside, with a sports pavilion, five acres of land and access to a neighbouring farm, our setting is deliberately calm, low-stimulus and grounded in nature — offering a place to reconnect, rebuild and rediscover.
We offer a wide range of curriculum-linked learning experiences, tailored to each student’s needs, strengths and interests, while also encouraging exploration, creativity and personal growth. Our provision is ideal for girls who are disengaged and/or affected by trauma, neglect or exploitation and are struggling in mainstream education due to anxiety, exclusion or unsafe peer influences.
